Channel Content Management (Early Access)

Manage Presentations Right from the Channel View

One of the most requested features is now available in early access. Channel Content Management allows users to organize and update video content directly from the Channel interface. You can now add or remove presentations quickly and cleanly, all from a single view. This greatly reduces the time spent navigating between menus and makes it easier to keep your content up to date. Even more exciting—recording directly to a Channel using Mediasite Capture is on the way, giving you even more control over your content workflows.

To enable this feature, visit the Management Portal and go to Settings > Server Settings > Early Access.

Recorder Express

Lecture Capture Without Extra Hardware

Expanding your video recording footprint no longer requires additional AV gear. Recorder Express enables institutions and organizations to capture presentations directly from in-room Windows 11 PCs. Whether you’re scheduling recordings in advance or launching one on the fly, Recorder Express offers a flexible and cost-effective solution. All recordings can be streamed live or made available on-demand, and they publish automatically to your Mediasite Platform. Best of all, Recorder Express is centrally managed, just like Mediasite’s traditional hardware recorders—offering the same reliability with greater flexibility.

Recorder 8.19 (Coming Soon)

Performance and Stability Updates You’ll Appreciate

Alongside these new features, we’re preparing to launch Recorder 8.19 later this month. This update focuses on delivering a more stable and responsive experience. It includes improved image clarity for previews, fixes for upgrade-related issues, and general performance enhancements. While it may not introduce new tools, it strengthens the core recording experience you rely on every day.
