Healthcare Providers Offer Smart Health Video Consultation (VC) via Integrated Health Information Systems (IHiS)

July 10, 2017 – Hackensack, NJ – Leading integrated video collaboration technology provider Vidyo, Inc. today announced that its platform is powering the first video consultation service for Singapore’s national public healthcare system, delivered by Integrated Health Information Systems (IHiS), the technology agency for Singapore healthcare. The Smart Health Video Consultation services will create better access to quality care for more patients with selected conditions.

“We are proud that IHiS is using the Vidyo platform to better connect medical professionals and patients across the entire public healthcare network of Singapore,” said Vidyo Vice President of Asia Pacific, Eitan Livne. “The clinical efficiency and convenience of telemedicine helps create an inclusive system of connected care that works for all patient populations, wherever they are located, especially those who may not have easy access to quality care.”

Part of Singapore’s Smart Nation Initiative, the Smart Health Video Consultation service will be used for an array of applications such as follow-up care for pediatric eczema, pharmacy consultation, pediatric home care services, lactation consultation, speech therapy, post-stroke care, communicable disease treatment, cancer patient care and more. The virtual services, which are guided by the National Telemedicine Guidelines to ensure patient safety and confidentiality, will help providers deliver personal, high-quality care, regardless of where the patient happens to be located, and sustainably expand the care team for more individuals.

For care providers across the Singapore public healthcare system, Vidyo’s technology platform will ensure reliable and flexible video performance even over limited bandwidth cellular connections, variable wifi networks and personal mobile devices. Highly interoperable and easy to integrate with existing healthcare workflow solutions, the Vidyo platform helps care providers drive greater clinical efficiencies across the continuum of care and significantly lower the cost of care, while optimizing existing assets. Vidyo’s ease of use has made clinical adoption simple, letting care providers keep patient data and visual communications within a single interface. Without having to launch a separate video client that loses context and breaks workflow, the barriers to telehealth adoption are lowered.

Vidyo-powered telemedicine helps care providers reduce readmissions, increase patient engagement and improve health outcomes. The award-winning platform, which is deeply integrated within three of the four largest US electronic health record (EHR) vendors, added more than 50 major healthcare systems in the US to its rapidly expanding customer base of more than 295 health systems during its past fiscal year.
