The Upload & Embed Tool is now generally available and simplifies how users manage Mediasite content in their LMS environments.

• Seamless channel publishing: Users can add content to a channel via a simple checkbox, minimizing workflow steps.

This tool eliminates the need to switch between the LMS and My Mediasite, reducing time and complexity in content publishing.

Automated Storage Optimization

To help organizations manage media storage more efficiently, Mediasite now includes an Optimize action that removes redundant or unnecessary file versions.

Optimization Options:

• Removes MP3 podcasts, MP4 vodcasts, and extra bitrate encodings.
• Can be configured to run automatically based on rules (e.g., optimize content older than 2 years).
• Helps reduce overall storage costs and streamline content libraries.

New Archiving Capabilities

Mediasite now allows users to archive presentations with a single click, moving content into an Offline Archive system folder.

Archiving Benefits:

• Removes presentations from viewer access while maintaining backend control.

• Can be scheduled and automated for ongoing archival needs.

Ideal for managing inactive content without permanent deletion.

Recorder Express Launching Soon

Recorder Express, scheduled for release at the end of June, expands room capture capabilities across your enterprise by utilizing existing in-room PCs.

Improved Captioning Accuracy with Manual Language Selection

To enhance captioning accuracy, Mediasite now allows users to manually specify the spoken language when submitting presentations for captioning via Mediasite Captioning Services.

• Overrides automatic language detection (which remains the default).

• Helps improve captioning precision for multilingual or accented content.
