Spring is in the air, and so is a fresh wave of updates for Enghouse Mediasite! With our March 2025 feature release, we’re bringing you exciting new tools to streamline your video management experience. From smarter storage solutions to enhanced customization, this update is all about making your Mediasite experience more efficient and enjoyable. Let’s dive into what’s new!

Taming Your Storage: New Retention Settings

Does your presentation storage feel like it’s growing out of control? The culprit might be intermediate revisions—those automatic backups created when users edit videos. To help you manage storage more effectively, we’ve introduced new retention settings that allow you to set policies for automatically deleting older versions.

Here’s how to set your own retention policy:

• Navigate to Management Portal > Settings > Server Settings > Recycle Bin
• Choose your preferred retention period for intermediate revisions (e.g., 90 days)
• Configure the Recycle Bin to auto-delete items after a defined period (e.g., 30 days)

Keep your storage tidy and stress-free with this simple yet powerful feature!

Mediasite Video Cloud Policy Update: Save Storage Automatically

Starting in late March, we’re introducing a default 90-day retention policy for intermediate revisions in Mediasite Video Cloud. This update helps keep storage optimized without manual intervention. But don’t worry—you have full control!

Want a different policy? Set your custom retention preferences by March 27th to align with your organization’s needs.

You Asked, We Delivered: Custom Login Images Are Back!

Branding matters, and we’re thrilled to announce that custom login images have returned! Now, you can personalize your Mediasite login page once again, ensuring a professional and cohesive brand presence.

To customize your login experience, go to:

Management Portal > Settings > Application Settings > Login Form

Enhanced Channels Coming in March

We’re continuing our Channel redesign, bringing you improved organization and search functionality. Starting with the March release, you’ll be able to enable Enhanced Channels on your own site, getting early access to a more intuitive browsing experience.

Sneak Peek: Simpler Video Uploads Coming in June

Get ready for a smoother, more streamlined upload and embed experience! We’re excited to give you a sneak peek at the new enhanced workflows coming to Mediasite in our June 2025 release. Admins can even enable these early access features directly from the Management Portal starting now so you can start testing them out before general release. It’s like getting a backstage pass to the future of uploads! 

To enable the new workflows, log into the Management Portal > Settings > Server Settings > Limited Availability Features to enable the new feature.
